As part of campus zoning measures to handle the COVID-19 pandemic, ISB routes were organised by zones. The BB service, introduced on 20 July 2020, served Zone B, which includes FoS, YLLSOM (Medicine), Dentistry, NGS, LSI, TMSI, CRISP, CQT, CSI and GAI. Only students whose zone is Zone B were allowed to board BB buses.

OCA uploaded the following summary graphic for route BB on their website.

BB connected the hubs of PGP, Kent Ridge MRT and UTown to destinations in Zone B, including S17/LT27 and UHall (S12); it also stopped at University Health Centre.

The doubled letters BB are used to avoid confusion with the previous B services. Tentatively, the BB service has been coloured orange, based on the orange colour for zone B. The route of BB is almost exactly the same as the former Service D2, except without the stops at Museum and at TCOMS.

Deployments

Buses permanently deployed to BB during AY20/21 Semester 1 included:

  • PC3785T
  • PC3787M
  • PC4019R
  • PC4071M

Withdrawal

Following the lifting of NUS’ zoning policy on 6 December 2020, these and other zoned routes were withdrawn and replaced by the original, pre-zoning routes on the same day.
